Redshift distribution of well-identified (﹩\geqslant 3﹩ confidence rating) spectra in the current CLAMATO data release, shown as the black histogram with redshift bins of ﹩{\rm{\Delta }}(z)=0.05﹩. The red histogram indicates background sources that were actually used to tomographicaly reconstruct the foreground Lyα forest at ﹩2.05\lt {z}_{\alpha }\lt 2.55﹩. These plot axes leave out 8 objects at ﹩z\lt 1.6﹩ and 1 object at ﹩z\gt 3.2﹩.
