Median per HEALpixel of the ratio (kinegeo/geo) of the posterior widths for the constant fraction sample in GDR3. Numbers less than 1 (in orange) show where the width of the kinegeometric distance posterior is narrower than the width of the geometric distance posterior, and these are therefore statistically likely to be more accurate. We see that this is the case in most parts of the sky, but particularly so in the disk and bulge. The bilinear color bar with white at unity and diverges on different linear scales to the minimum and maximum values.
