Comparison between transition properties of CL-AGN and simulated light curves. Diamonds are repeat CL-AGN transitions identified by L. Duffy et al. (2025a); the pink star is J1011, which is one of our photometric transition candidates. CL-AGN transition candidates occur with a higher variability amplitude than is seen for simulated damped random walk light curves.
