Outflow force ﹩{F}_{\mathrm{CO}}=\dot{P}﹩ vs. the bolometric luminosity ﹩{L}_{\mathrm{bol}}﹩ of central sources. The symbols represent the same source types as in Figure 6. To compare with low-mass outflow force, the filled and open circles, respectively, indicate Class 0 and Class I from Bontemps et al. (1996). The black solid line (﹩\mathrm{log}{F}_{\mathrm{CO}}=0.5\mathrm{log}{L}_{\mathrm{bol}}-4.7﹩) represents the best fit in log–log space between ﹩{F}_{\mathrm{CO}}﹩ and ﹩{L}_{\mathrm{bol}}﹩ for both low- and high-mass outflows. The red dashed line (﹩\mathrm{log}{F}_{\mathrm{CO}}=0.7\mathrm{log}{L}_{\mathrm{bol}}-5.5﹩) is the best fit for all massive outflows in this study and extrapolated to lower luminosities. The blue dotted line (﹩\mathrm{log}{F}_{\mathrm{CO}}=0.3\mathrm{log}{L}_{\mathrm{bol}}-4.5﹩) indicates the best fit for low-mass outflows from Bontemps et al. (1996) extended to higher luminosities.
