Left: the mean radial velocity of stars as a function of metallicity in our sample. The uncertainties in the mean velocity are the velocity dispersion divided by the square root of the number of stars. Right: the velocity dispersion of stars as a function of metallicity. While the mean radial velocity appears to be correlated with metallicity, the velocity dispersion is not. This suggests that there is a chemical–dynamical separation in the nuclear star cluster and that the different metallicity populations are consistent with being located at the Galactic center.
