The three-dimensional Galactic orbits of ‘Oumuamua and the CAR young stellar association integrated backward for 50 Myr. Positive x is in the direction toward the Galactic center. Positive y is in the Galactic rotation direction. Sampled trajectories for ‘Oumuamua and for the stellar members of CAR identified by Gagné et al. (2018) are represented by bundles of green and blue lines, respectively. The colored volumes mark the 1σ−3σ surfaces for both Oumuamua and CAR at 25, 35, and 45 Myr.
