REPT-B pitch angle distributions on 2014 September 12 from 17:00 to 21:00 UT at 1.80–3.40 MeV energy channels. Before the magnetopause compression (∼17:30 UT), all energy levels presented 90°-peaked PAD shapes. Afterward, as the magnetopause compression progressed, the PAD shapes gradually changed to butterfly-like shapes, which are evidenced here by a local minimum flux at a 90° pitch angle.
