Cumulative distribution of the size ratio of neighboring planets (Rout/Rin) in our simulations (black) and the Kepler sample (see Figure 1). The top plot shows the distribution of Rout/Rin for planet pairs where both planets are above Rtrans. The middle plot shows Rout/Rin when there is one planet on either side of Rtrans, and the bottom plot is for planet pairs where both planets are below the line. For planets with R < Rtrans, we replace R with the core radius to simulate the effect of photo-evaporation. The left column shows the results for the metal-rich model, and the right column shows the results for the metal-poor model.
