OMC1 outflow in the 2.12 μm H2 (orange) and 1.64 μm [Fe II] (blue) lines in the near-infrared. This image was obtained with the Gemini South Adaptive Optics Imager (GSAOI) and the Gemini Multi-conjugate adaptive optics System (GeMS) on the Gemini South 8 m telescope that uses five Sodium lasers to generate artificial guide stars. The angular resolution of these observations is about 0.″06. Taken from Bally et al. (2015).
