Blue–green features show the outflow emission from VLSR = −100 to 0 km s−1; red features show emission from VLSR = +20 to +120 km s−1. The yellow circles show the locations of the massive stars ejected from OMC1; from top to bottom these are the BN object, Source I, Source n, and IRc4. The yellow cross marks the location of the explosion center measured from the proper motions of near-infrared H2 emission features (Bally et al. 2011); this location coincides with the explosion center determined from the orientations of the CO streamers to within a few arcseconds (Zapata et al. 2009). Several unrelated CO outflows from stars outside the OMC1 core can be seen near the top and lower right corner of this image.
