General spectral evolution of SLSN Ic (2005ap-like) from 5 days before maximum light to 40 days after. The phase of each spectrum relative to the light curve peak in the rest frame is shown on the right. These rest-frame spectra have been corrected for Galactic extinction. They have been convolved with a Gaussian function of FWHM = 5 Å and subsequently binned to 5 Å per pixel. The 400 nm and 520 nm wave bands are shown in cyan and green, respectively, with their effective centers marked with black dashed lines. The data are from Pastorello et al. (2010a) and Inserra et al. (2013). Table 1 provides a full list of references to the original sources of data for all objects.
