Left: IRDIS contrasts for each individual observation. The contrast for HD 19257 is markedly less than for the other observations, due to the presence of a bright companion 1.″3 from the star. Right: mass sensitivity of the survey, as a function of projected separation. For this conversion we use the COND models (Baraffe et al. 2003) for objects below 1700 K and the DUSTY models (Chabrier et al. 2000) otherwise. Contrasts are only shown out to 4″ and 200 au since sensitivity is largely flat beyond these separations; our field or view extends to ∼6″ and between ∼250 au and ∼850 au depending on the stellar distance. The median survey sensitivity is 10.4 MJ at 25 au and 5.9 MJ at 100 au. Contrast curves of individual observations are available as data behind the figure.
