Top and middle panels show the retrieved cloud particle radius and composition parameter for the HR 8799b, c, d, and e directly imaged exoplanets, where the flat line is the prior. The bottom panel shows the eddy diffusion coefficient and demonstrates that its inferred value corresponding to the peak value of the posterior distribution for ﹩{r}_{{\rm{c}}}﹩ are not unreasonable and broadly consistent with the assumed ﹩{K}_{\mathrm{zz}}﹩ values in previous studies. PDF stands for “probability density function.”
