Three views of collisional distortions of the stellar particles at the same times as in Fig. 5 for the gas particles. The late‐time x‐z view shows that part of the stellar bridge is essentially a near‐side tail (at the top) in this model. The absence of a galaxy B countertail in the late‐time x‐y view (bottom left‐hand panel) also shows that it is superposed on the bridge (see Fig. 5).
